Conference Themes and Topics

Important Key Dates & Deadlines

The MIRACE 2027 Conference is seeking submissions related to the topics below. Other related tracks will also be considered. Key topics regarding senior work, employment, and smart living revolve around active ageing — optimizing health, participation, and security as people age, while fostering a rewired career approach beyond traditional retirement.

Key trends include AI integration in the workplace, flexible work arrangements, and smart home technology to support independent living. The theme emphasizes a shift from living longer to living better through career longevity, technological empowerment, and a sense of belonging.

Special Focus and Themes

The MIRACE 2027 Conference and Exhibition invites contributors to consider how demographic change is reshaping elders’ social contracts, care systems, labour markets, and expectations of wellbeing across the life course. Aging populations, changing pension and employment structures, and evolving family arrangements are driving societies to rethink responsibility, dignity, and security across generations.

The prevalence of chronic illness and rising demand for long-term care reinforce the need for integrated, ethical, and person-centred care infrastructures. The conference seeks submissions around Retirement, Aging, Smart Senior Living, and Gerontology in a changing world.

MIRACE 2027 Conference Themes for Paper Submission

The theme “RETIREMENT MATTERS! RETHINKING AGEING, WORK AND ELDERS SMART LIVING IN A CHANGING WORLD” addresses challenges and opportunities in aging populations, workforce shifts, technological advancement, and new approaches to senior care.

It creates a comparative and multidisciplinary space across borders of nation, culture, discipline, and profession. We encourage mixed methodologies that combine theory and practice between and across disciplines.

MIRACE 2027 programme formats include keynote addresses, plenary and featured sessions, futurist talks, interactive panel discussions, invited guest speakers, interviews, and fast-paced 10-minute ignite presentations concluding the two-day conference.

The forum gathers insights from theory and policy, identifies challenges, and advances best-practice outlooks for global contemporary issues. The conference themes can stand alone and also complement, contrast, or engage in dialogue with one another.
