About MIRM

MIRM Guiding Principal

Principles that guide the MIRM Governing Council in serving retirees and the aging community.

The MIRM Guiding principles ensure that the long-term culture survives and helps the MIRM Institute as an organization to drive performance, members, customer, stakeholder, and employee satisfaction.

While the vision and mission goals help define the short and long-term outcomes, guiding principles lay the groundwork by expressing the conditions and way these systems should be designed to achieve those MIRM goals.

The MIRM Governing Council is guided by the following principles.

  • To promote the interests of retirement and retirees in Malaysia.
  • To influence local, state and national policy affecting retirement and retirees.
  • To enhance retirees lifelong and continuous learning with self-development and socioeconomic advancement in retirement.
  • To uphold the integrity of the Council and MIRM.
  • To foster support and collegiality among its members.
  • To provide leadership and membership services through a professional organization of retirees.
  • To become a catalyst in the societal and national development for retirees by ensuring continuous interaction with industry and other research-based institutions in Malaysia and abroad.
